Call for changemakers!

Volunteer in Cambodia

We are continually looking for farmhands and people to help us build systems. For a flat weekly or monthly fee to cover the program's expenses, Community First welcomes volunteers at its Sen Sok Campus in the villages of Northwestern Cambodia. With over ten years of experience in working with volunteers of all ages, our local team offers a unique experience for those wanting to both learn and help while living in an authentic rural community
Volunteers 18 years of age and older are invited to stay on-site at the farm school, where they will work and live for the duration of their stay. Working alongside our team, volunteers will learn a lot about aquaponics, life in a Cambodian village and so much more.
Our Sen Sok Campus offers volunteers their own communal house, traditionally built on stilts, a thatch roof (no air conditioning), and its own open-air kitchen with all amenities. Long-term volunteers have the option of joining the farm's daily communal meal, and they are guaranteed to help building at least one family system from end to end with our team. The experience of meeting and helping a family in Sen Sok is a truly transformative one and we look forward to sharing it!
Aside from the ongoing expansion of our aquaponic works in Sen Sok, we also have very specific needs. Here are volunteering positions that we urgently need to fill. Are you ready for an adventure?

Open Volunteer Positions

English Teacher
We are in looking for native speaker with previous experience in education for a medium to longterm stay at our Sen Sok Campus.
The volunteer teacher will be in leading small classes and one on one sessions for our team of Cambodian trainers. They will also help us bring e-learning resources to the community and will be asked to help us develop a curriculum.
Applicants 25 year of age and older are invited to submit their application using our message tab at the bottom of this page.
Writer, Blogger & Content Creator
Are you a good writer? Have you ever dreamed of becoming a travelling journalist, documenting the world's important issues? Consider joining our team at the Sen Sok Campus to help us document their adventures and the change aquaponic creates in the lives of those they train.
We are looking for someone with great penmanship, and a knack for storytelling. The volunteer would be working in close collaboration with our team, including our resident photographer & videographer.
The minimum commitment for this project is medium to long term, as we're seeking to tell these stories in depth. Send us a message for more information.
